Storm Warning

Hmm, all this rain we're getting is apparently the outlying clouds from Tropical Storm (well, Depression, at this point) Alberto. I never realized when I moved to this area that hurricanes or the remnants thereof could be an issue. Though I remember from all the post-Katrina hurricane reports last year that New York could be facing a major hurricane this year. Or it's more likely that it will. That makes me wonder, why did Liberty ever pick the hurricanes as its mascot? It's not like we're in an area prone to such things...or maybe that's the point, you wouldn't "joke" about it if it were a serious threat.

Wow, and just in browsing the news, I think this is way out of line...people just need to calm down about sports, really.

I thought their mascot was some other fancy word for hurricane, or for wind.... wasn't it? Or was that the name of the band? It started with a T, didn't it? I can't think of it.

Hiya Katie, enjoy browsing your blog upon occasion. Was curious, are you a Bookcrosser? If so, check me out under heathcliff13 (also have a blog under that name) and maybe we can trade a book sometime.
