Ok, so I've found some interesting pieces of paper in library books, but nothing like this! Mostly I find the list of library books checked out from the previous reader. Sometimes it's interesting to see what else they read. And it always surprised me that their lists were so short... :)
What would you do if you found money in a book? Return it, if you could?
What if it was something neat or interesting, like a newspaper clipping or postcard or that feather in a fairy tale book? I'd probably leave it in the book in hopes that the person who had it after me would enjoy it like I did.
Currently reading: The Free Bards, by Mercedes Lackey. Again. Obviously I need to go out and use my Borders gift certificates. Or go to the library.

Um... that's pretty gross!
If I found money, I'd... probably keep it, or donate it to the library if I was feeling charitable. Somehow the fact that it's in a book would make it feel more ok to keep it. I don't know why.
If I found other cool stuff... it would depend. If it seemed really specific to the book, or if it was something that was cool to find in a book but not really just to have, I would leave it. But if it was a really intriguing letter or something... that would be harder to give up. Though perhaps more important to leave. Hmmm.
That's funny, I just recently picked up a book that was published in Australia, and out fell an airline ticket stub from Sydney to Los Angeles, from 6 years ago!!
(BTW:what's your BX name?)
It's BMVCOE. :)
