What's with all the Christmas mammals?

Remember the opossum in one family's Christmas tree? Well, my dad just called me upstairs because my mom saw a dark spot on the curtain. Originally she asked if it was a really big bug, but it turns out to be a small bat! It's very lethargic; my dad thought it may have been hibernating in the tree. Anyway, it didn't make a fuss when we shook it off the curtain into a cardboard box, and crawled around very slowly (as you would if someone just woke you up!) It's actually kind of cute, about four inches from head to toe and furry-looking. But then, I usually think bats are neat looking. Anyway, my dad has taken it outside to our tree. Hopefully it will find another nice warm place to sleep!
