More musical fun, stolen outright from Rachel's blog. Now with answers, not that anyone seems to care.
Step 1: Get your playlist together, put it on random, and play.
Step 2: Pick your favorite lines from the first 25 songs that play.
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song the lines come from.
Step 4: Cross out the songs when someone guesses correctly! No cheating and pasting the lyrics into a search engine!
For fairness, email me your guesses rather than posting them. If you're reading this and you don't know my email, I'm shocked. Nice to meet you.

Currently Reading: The Dark Tower, by Stephen King. I don't know how long it's been since I started the series, but it's sort of amazing how much I remember. At least from the last book. And I'm still amused by King's descriptions of himself as a writer with actual talent that sold out to write best-selling crap. I wonder how much is based on other comments and what actually has a spark of truth that he believes?
Just finished reading: Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck. If I were only going to teach one novel in my classroom the whole year, I don't know that it would be this one! Everything's rather horrible: they drown puppies, pick on a guy with mental retardation, kill a bimbo, and shoot a friend in the back of the head! On the other hand, I can see lots of ways to teach this. We'll see what actually happens and what has to stay in my head.
