So the letter from William and Mary still hasn't come yet. It's rather frustrating; I need something tangible before I can quite get my mind around the concept of actually going there. Perhaps they are preparing a nice financial aid package for me. :)
*grin* For Becky...since you wanted one the other night...
Most recently read: Atonement, by Ian McEwan. The first part of the book was actually really exciting, with a young girl who sees herself on the verge of adulthood witnessing her older sister's first romantic encounters with a longtime family friend, and how her need to assert herself brings the whole family apart. But the rest of the book jumps many years into the future, to the depressing ends of all the characters. Which I guess is the point of the book, but it was pretty depressing. And I really wanted to like many of the characters, but each of them made me rather dislike them at some point in the narrative. They all sort of betray your trust, which lends to the disillusioning of the book. Or I've been reading too much fantasy, with its more simplistic division between good and evil, to feel content with liking these characters. ;)
