Questions for Rachel and Becky

Ok, Becky, here you are!

1. You've finally been able to become a full time novelist (or playwright; whatever you wish!). Only one of your novels/plays wins critical and popular acclaim. Would you rather have that one be your first novel/play, or your last? Why?

2. What do you think your life would be like if your baby brother had lived, by some miracle, with perfect health? How would you be different? What if he had lived, but with serious health problems?

3. A strange irreversible affliction overcomes you! Would you rather become color-blind, or tone-deaf? Why?

4. You've finally gotten into Narnia. Who do you want to meet first?

5. As you may have noticed, the cow is now stalking you online! How do you get rid of it?

And for Rachel...

1. Either you have gone to art school and become a successful animator, or your writing degree has paid off, but you have managed to land a job as one of the essential creative minds behind the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. You've been doing this for several years, and really enjoying it, when the executives come saying that to boost ratings, they are going to kill off one of the major characters (ie, one of the Turtles; and with no Star Trek miraculous reasurrections, or soap opera this-all-took-place-in-a-dream sequences). You have to pick which of the Turtles is going to die. Who do you pick? Why?

2. Choose your totally useless super power!
a. the ability to speak only in commercial jingles
b. the ability to accurately, to the last jelly bean, predict the number of jelly beans in contests
c. the ability to change the song stuck in your head, but only to our high school alma mater

3. A mysterious epidemic is sweeping the globe, but you are somehow immune (gee, I guess your parents' genes were good for something!) Would you rather have everyone else in the world go color-blind or tone-deaf? Why?

4. If an attractive, pleasant, and financially well off gay (male) friend wanted to marry you for convenience, and offered you a substantial financial incentive (such as paying off all your student loans and giving you a generous fund to draw from) for doing so, would you? What if it would keep him out of the army, where he would be certain to go to the front lines in Iraq? What if he decided, somewhere along the line, that he wanted to consummate the marriage?

5. Robert Jordan finds time to write a book focusing on just one character. Who would you want it to be, and what sequence of events/point in his or her life do you want it to cover?

Enjoy!
